South-west pool competition

One of the most prestigious and lucrative  (winner’s prize of €1000) pool competitions to take place in the south-west is being held in Paddy’s Bar, Glenties over the coming weeks.

There is one – and possibly more – qualifying places up for grabs for Finals Night; the other places will be filled by players who are among the best in the south-west. The invited players include Stevie Anderson, who has played at the highest level in inter-varsities pool and won the recent Doherty’s open; Joe Doherty, who was ranked as high as number five in Ireland’s Pub Players’ Tour; and Marty Boyle, who has won numerous singles and team competitions.
