Glenties Notes on October 4th 2000
Marathon Man Michael Fitzgerald, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent is busy training for the Dublin Marathon on October 30th. This will be Michael’s 20th marathon. In 1996 he ran in both Boston and Dublin and in 1998 he took part in the London marathon. He has also taken part in many 10k races, in Ballyshannon , Letterkenny and various other parts of the country. Many charities have benefited from Michael’s running, among them Irish Heart, Irish Kidney, Friends of Letterkenny Hospital and numerous others. This year his chosen charity is Irish Cot Deaths and your support would be greatly appreciated. Sponsorship cards are in some shops in the town and will be in other towns in the near future. Michael is hoping to record a good time and placing in this year’s marathon and also with your help to make a good donation to this very worthy charity.
