Confessions will follow 11am mass on Saturday morning

With 8th December falling on a Sunday, the Mass of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary takes place on Monday 9th December at 7.30pm

Visitation of the sick & elderly will take place this week as follows : –
Tuesday 10th: Ard Connell, Main Street, Tullyard Road, Dr McCloskey Crescent, Stranaglough, Meenalargan, Altar, Ard Patrick.
Wednesday  11th: Stonepark, Mill Road, Derries, Kilraine, Drimnacrosh, Tullyhoniver, Narin  Road, Loughcrillan Road, Letterilly, Maas, Mulnamina, Gortnsillagh, Drimnasillagh, Buncrobog.

Let’s get ready to receive Christ afresh into our hearts and homes this Christmas.  With this in mind, the following are the local dates and times for the Sacrament of Confession:
Monday 16th December at 7.00pm Fintown
Tuesday 17th December at 8.00pm Ardara
Thursday 19th December at 8.00pm Glenties
Sunday 22nd December after 12.15pm Mass Edeninfagh

2020 Church Envelopes are now ready to distribute.  Please contact Fr Gerard or the Parochial House to arrange collection.

Carol Services  in the Church:
St Columbas Comprehensive School: Tuesday 10th December at  2.30pm
Scoil Mhuire: Thursday 12th  at 7pm
Ceol le Chéile Choir Sunday 15th at   6pm

Annual Carol Service and Craft Fair in Halla Cholm Cille, Fintown  Thursday 12th December at 7pm

The Donegal Choir of ages “ Ceol Le Cheile”,  will perform their festive concert in St Connell’s Church Glenties on Sunday 15th December at 6pm.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Community Centre.

Glenties Community Centre Amalgamated Ltd CE scheme have vacancies for Horticultural/Maintenance worker, C.E criteria applies.  To apply for the above please e-mail glentiescommunitycentre@gmail.com.   C.E workers can avail of training to upskill while on CE scheme.
Bingo Tuesday 10th Dec Jackpot €7,100 on 45 numbers or less.

A sincere thank you from the Glenties Youth Club to everyone who contributed to our Church Gate Collection last weekend. A total of €595.60 was collected. It is greatly appreciated, Thank you.

As Christmas approaches, the giving and receiving of gifts will be a major part of our activities.  Let’s remember those for whom the bare essentials will be a struggle this Christmas.  With this in mind, it is hoped that the parish might play its part by helping the We Care Letterkenny Food Bank (last year we provided toys to be distributed to children).  The We Care Letterkenny Food Bank is an intervention service to help families/individuals in crisis.  We intend to collect NON PERISHABLE Foods (No tins of beans) and to deliver these to the food bank by 12th December.  These goods can be left in the Sacristy or at the Parochial House.  See Facebook – “We Care Lk Food Bank”.
