The Diocese of Raphoe has appointed Margaret Northage as new Designated Liaison Person for Child Safeguarding.  This role is to support, encourage, advise and continue to raise awareness of child safeguarding.  Margaret also holds the role of Diocesan Safeguarding Co-ordinator.  People are encouraged to make contact with the Designated Liaison Person on 086 2183011 or email raphoesafeguarding@gmail.com or at Raphoe Safeguarding Services, Safeguarding Office, Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Letterkenny.  If anyone has a child safeguarding concern or wishes to report an allegation directly to the statutory authorities they should contact the Local HSE and ask to speak to the Duty Social Worker or they may contact An Garda Siochána at one of the numbers listed below:

Towards Peace is a service offering spiritual support to those who have experienced abuse perpetrated by Church personnel, individually or institutionally. The vision of Towards Peace is to provide a safe supportive space for people and their families, whose spiritual life has been damaged by abuse. It is also a response to the continually growing understanding of the spiritual impact of the trauma of abuse. Towards Peace provides spiritual support through one-to-one spiritual direction sessions, with a qualified spiritual companion.  If you have been abused and would like a space to reflect on the impact of the trauma of abuse on your own relationship with God and spirituality, Towards Peace is here for you. www.towardspeace.ie Tel: 01 505 3028. Youth Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick:  It is hoped to take a group of young people from the Parish from 3rd year upward, on a one day pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick, Co Mayo on Thursday 25th April.  Please contact Fr Gerard or the Parochial House for further details.

Marys Meals Church Gate Collection takes place on 2/3 March.

A Saint Vincent De Paul collection will take place on the 23/24th February at the weekend masses.  We appreciate your support.

The Mc Dyer family are hosting a fund-raising Coffee Evening in the Community Centre on Friday night, directly following Martin’s 5th Anniversary Mass. Donations going to The Donegal Hospice. Everyone very welcome, so drop in for a wee cuppa with sweet and savoury bites .We look forward to seeing you there.

Fintown Harps AFC 50/50 Draw €2 a ticket or 3 tickets for €5.  Draw will take place the last Thursday of every month.  Tickets are on sale in local businesses or ask any player.

Narin Portnoo Rosbeg CE Project have a vacancy for Youth Worker, attached to Downstrands Family Resource Centre, in the Dolmen Centre. Community Employment  criteria apply and CE participant can avail of training to up-skill while on the Project.
