Glenties Notes on July 19th 2001

Mass will be celebrated in The Old Graveyard, on the Glen Road, Glenties, next Thursday 19th July at 7.30p.m.

Congratulations to Anne Marie Mc Dermott, Meenagrubby, Glenties and Seamus Hunter, Carrigart, who were married in The Church of the Holy Family, Edeninfagh, on Saturday last.

Congratulations to Orlaith Gallagher, Station Road, Glenties and Niall Kavanagh, Galway, who were married in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny on Saturday last.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Mary Wilson, Convoy, who died in Letterkenny Hospital on Thursday 12th July 2001and was buried in Convoy on Saturday. Mary was a daughter of the late Willie and Kate Roarty, Drimalough, Glenties.

Sincere sympathy is extended to John Gallagher, Mullantyboyle, Glenties on the death of his brother, Brendan Gallagher, Ardara, who died tragically in Germany. Also to all his relatives and friends.

The Theme of the annual Patrick Mc Gill Summer School this year is “Drugs and Alcohol in Ireland – use and abuse”. It gets under way on Sunday 12th and continues until Friday 17th August.
