Glenties Notes on January 11th 2002
The death took place peacefully, at his home on Thursday 27th December 2001 of Charlie Boyle, Narin Road and formerly of Ardconnell. Glenties. His remains were brought to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday morning. Fr. Nigel Ó Gallachóir, Glenties assisted by Fr. Philip Daly, Kilclooney celebrated Requiem Mass. Readings, Prayers of the Faithful, carrying of the Gifts were by Charlie’s grandchildren, Anton and Deirdre Dooley, Cathal and Emma Boyle, Roisin Ana Ní Chartaigh, Neil Charlie Boyle, Caroline Bonner, John Boyle, Saoirse Mac Cartaigh, Nollaig Ní Chartaigh, Pauric and Mairead Mc Gill. Music and singing was by Thomas Donahue, Pat O’ Donnell, Anne Mc Dwyer and Amanda Mc Guigan. Burial took place in the New Cemetery. Charlie is survived by his wife, Mary, sons, James, Glenties, Charlie, Dublin, daughters, Lena Dooley, Glenties, Mary Ní Chartaigh, Portnoo, Rose Boyle, Burtonport, Bernadette Mc Gill, Ardara, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, other relatives and friends, to whom sincere sympathy is extended. His son Neil, brothers, Barney, Paddy and Cornelius, sisters, Helena, Rosie, Mary, Bridget Ann, Aggie and Cathy predeceased him. Charlie was ninety-two years old and was a native of Loughfad.
The death took place in Killybegs Hospital on Wednesday 2nd January 2002 of Rosha Boyle (nee Gildea), Ard Patrick, Glenties. Her remains came to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Thursday evening. Fr. Patrick Prendergast P.P. Glenties celebrated Requiem Mass on Friday morning. Music was by Sr. Immaculata on the organ. Burial took place in the New Cemetery.
Sincere sympathy is extended to her two brothers, Francie, Ard Patrick, Glenties and Peter, England, cousins other relatives and many friends. Her husband Peter, sisters Maureen Ward, Bridie Gildea, brothers James and Paddy predeceased her.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Teresa Melly, Church Road, Glenties on the death of her aunt, Nellie Given, Hillhead, Ardara which took place on Christmas morning.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Josie Mc Devitt, Meenavale, Glenties on the death of his sister, Annie which took place in Dublin last week. Her remains were brought to The Church of the Holy Family, Edeninfagh and burial took place in Edeninfagh Cemetery on Saturday 5th January 2002.
Congratulations to John and Maggie Timoney, The Rock, Glenties, who celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary recently.
Congratulations to Maria and Billy Macinnis, London on the birth recently of their second child, a little sister for Ellie. Maria is a daughter of James and Mary Gallagher, Glen Road, Glenties.
