Glenties Notes on February 27th 2003
Congratulations to Tina and John Breslin, Doohill, Ardara on the birth on 1st February 2003 in Letterkenny Hospital of their first child, a baby girl, Bridget Grace. Tina is a niece of Mena Mc Loone, Glen Road, Glenties.
Congratulations and best wishes to Mary Simms, Donegal Town, formerly Gallagher, Letterilly, Glenties who was a winner on Winning Streak last Saturday night.
Congratulations to Caroline Hegarty, Ard Patrick, Glenties and Brendan Ward, Boultypatrick, Cloghan, who got engaged recently.
The death took place on Monday 17th February 2003 of Máire Curran, Stranaglough, Glenties. Her remains were brought to Carrick Church on Wednesday morning. Fr. Eddie Gallagher celebrated Requiem Mass and burial took place afterwards in the adjoining Graveyard. Máire (nee Mc Hugh) was a native of Teelin. Before coming to Stranaglough she and her husband Daniel lived in Ballybunnion, Co. Kerry. She is survived by her husband, Daniel, son, Alan, daughter, Annmarie, mother, Mary Mc Hugh, brothers, Seamus and Priomsais, other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathy is extended.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Eamonn Mc Groary, Kilraine, Glenties on the death of his brother, Chris, which took place last week and who was buried in Ballintra on Saturday.
