Glenties Notes on December 22nd 2000
Congratulations to Carmel and Michael Gallagher, Letterkenny on the birth recently of their fourth child. They now have four boys. Michael is a son of James and Mary Gallagher, Glen Road, Glenties.
Congratulations to Dr. Paula Gallagher and Dr. John Lunn who were married in Warkworth, New Zealand recently. Paula is a daughter of Frankie and Claire Gallagher, Meenahalla, Glenties and John is a son of Frank and Margaret Lunn, Warkworth, New Zealand. The happy couple are living and working in Dublin.
Congratulations to Josie Bonner and Bridie Conefry both of Mill Road, Glenties who completed a ten-week Art Foundation Course with Eurocat, Derry and received their Certificates on 30th November 2000.
Congratulations also to June Conefry, Mill Road, Glenties who passed her final Nursing (Psy.) examinations.
Denis Tynan and Margaret Gallagher wish to thank The Glenties Bridge Club for organising the “Sarah and Margaret Rose Bowl” competition in October. Mary Clare O’Donnell and Paddy Mc Hugh were the proud winners. The proceeds of £600 was presented to Nurse Theresa Mc Nelis for the Patient’s Comfort Fund in Dungloe Hospital.
Sincere Sympathy is extended to John Ward Meenavale, Glenties on death on his sister Mary Mc Glynn, Glenfin on Monday 11th December 2000 and on the death of her son Peter Mc Glynn which took place during the wake. Sympathy also to Miss Anne Mc Glynn, Scoil Mhuire, Glenties on the death of her aunt and cousin and to all the Mc Glynn family, relatives and friends.
