Mc Hugh / Mc Kay Wedding:
Congratulations and best wishes to Dervla Mc Hugh and James Mc Kay who were married in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday 28th July 2012. Dervla is a daughter of Dermot and Nora Mc Hugh, Kilraine, Glenties and James is a son of Jim and Patricia Mc Kay, Ballinahinch, Co. Down. Fr. Pat Prendergast assisted by Fr. Vincent Mc Kay (uncle of the groom) officiated and concelebrated Nuptial Mass. Her father gave the bride away and her sisters Lorraine and Andrea along with friends Elenor Cape and Áine Furey were bridesmaids; her niece Chloe Mc Nelis was junior bridesmaid. Liam Mc Kay, brother of the groom was bestman. Alex Barton, Ollie Durman and Mark Higgins were groomsmen. The bride’s niece Yanna Mc Hugh was flowergirl and the groom’s nephew Eoin Mc Cullagh was pageboy. Readings were by Leah Mc Nelis, sister of the bride and Treasa Mc Kay sister of the groom. Stephen Mc Hugh, brother of the bride, Bernie Keeney, aunt, Deirdre O’ Donnell and Denise Boyle, friends and Emma and Sinead Mc Kay sisters of the groom, read Prayers of the Faithful. Nora Mc Hugh and Patricia Mc Kay, mothers of the bride and groom, brought the Gifts to the Altar. Singing was by Megan Kenny. The reception was held in the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey and the honeymoon is being spent in Sorrento, Italy.

New Arrivals:
Congratulations to Isobel and Declan Bonner, Glen Road, Glenties on the birth of their second child a baby sister (Alisha) for Áine.

Congratulations to Janet and Patrick Mc Gill Meenalargan, Glenties, on the birth of their first child, a baby boy (Daithí).

“New”&“Nearly New” Baby & Toddler Market”
A “New”&“Nearly New” Baby & Toddler Market” will take place in the Highlands Hotel on Sunday 12th August from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. This is a great opportunity for parents to recycle no longer needed clothes, prams, cots, etc., and also a good place to pick up a bargain. There will also be face painting and a “pop up” photography studio on the day.

Congratulations to Neil Bonner, Ard Patrick, Glenties and Nicola Quinn, Naomh Conal Close who were married in Glenties on Saturday last 4th August 2012.

Bingo:

Collection:
Co. Donegal Parents and Friends of People with Intellectual Disability Ltd. will take up their Annual Church Gate Collection before all the Masses next weekend.

Community Employment Scheme:

Sheep Dog Trials:
Sheep Dog Trials will be held down the Church Road Glenties beside the GAA field on the 25th and 26th of August 2012.
