Glenties Notes 8th July 2008

A Cake Sale will be held in the Community Centre, Glenties on Saturday evening 12th July in aid of the Church of Ireland. Doors will open at 6.30 p.m. Come along and give your support to this fund-raising effort and pick up some goodies as well.

A Child Minder is required in Glenties for three children in their own home- 2 days per week to start mid – August. One school run. If interested ring 086 1907030.

The annual swim week takes place this year from Monday 28th July – Saturday 2nd August. Beginners of any age catered for. Basic Life Support and CPR instruction will be given for the advanced groups. If more information is required please phone Clodagh Duggan. Registration will take place in Narin on Monday 28th July at 11 a.m.

The annual Church Gate Collection in aid of the Irish Wheelchair Association will be taken up before all the Masses next weekend – Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July.

The Irish Cancer Society Church Gate Collection taken up recently amounted to 1,142 Euro. Sincere thanks to all who contributed.

The Down’s Syndrome Church Gate Collection taken up recently in Edeninfagh amounted to 200 Euro. Sincere thanks to all who contributed.

There will be a meeting of the Glenties Parish Council next Thursday evening 10th July in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties at 9.00p.m. Everyone is welcome.
