Craig / Byrne Wedding
Ben Craig, Glenties and Laura Byrne, Corr, Lettermacaward were married in St. Bridget’s Church, Lettermacaward on Saturday 17th July 2010. Fr. Eamonn Mc Laughlin, Lettermacaward assisted by Fr. Shane Gallagher, Glenties officiated and concelebrated Nuptial Mass. Laura was attended by her sister, Dyna Byrne, cousin, Caroline Owens and friends Liz Greenwood and Emma Craig. The bestman was Gavin Bonner, friend of the groom. Daniel and Philip Roog, brothers of the groom and Paul Byrne, brother of the bride were groomsmen. David Roog was Pageboy and Rachel Craig and Keeley Owens were flowergirls. Readings were by Dyna Byrne, sister of the bride and a friend Aoife Gallagher. Aoife Craig, Philip and Daniel Roog and Ryan Craig read Prayers of the Faithful. David Roog and Rachel Craig brought the Gifts to the Altar. Music and singing was by John F. O’Donnell and Sara and Jenifer Laughlin. The reception was held in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny and the honeymoon was spent in New York and Mexico.

Golden Wedding
Congratulations and Best Wishes for many more years together to Paddy and Teresa O’Donnell, Derries, Glenties, who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last weekend.

Bingo
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 27th July were – B. Fletcher won the Jackpot of € 400. R. Ellis, Glencolmcille, James Deane, Kilcar, Maura Kilbane, Anne Sweeney, John Mc Cole, Sarah Long, Fintown, Faye Moore, Jamsie Byrne, Maggie O ‘Donnell, and Paula Hegarty won € 100 each. Sandra Moore, B. Martin, Cissie Meehan, Anne Furey, Anne Sweeney, Bella Boyle, Nan Doherty, Dungloe and Marie Cannon won € 50 each. Mary Gillespie, Margo Gallagher, Margaret Murray and Margaret Gallagher won € 25 each. Kitty Mc Glynn, Fintown, Anne Brady and Nan Doherty won € 20 each.

Fundraising Barbeque & Barn Dance
A Barbeque will be held in ‘Dinnys’, The Glen Tavern, Glenties next Sunday 8th August. The Barbeque is from 5 – 6 p.m. and dancing afterwards to B and J Sound. There will also be a Raffle, Lucky Dip and Face Painting, so come along for a fun filled evening. Donations may be given at the door. All proceeds will go to Donegal Centre for Independent Living.

Thanks
On behalf of Donegal Centre for Independent Living, Margery Mc Hugh would like to thank all who supported the fundraising night on the 18th July in M25. Thanks to Michael and staff of M25, Tánaiste, Mary Coughlan for attending, Dermott and staff of Nighthawks for the food and all the others who helped with salads, sandwiches and teas, to Carol, Phelim and Derek who collected at the door. She would also like to thank those who donated prizes, those who donated money on the night and since then, the Ardara Jiving Group, the Irish Dancers, the two Bands, Derailed and Rambling Fever, who were all excellent and her special friends for the flowers. A special thanks to James Keeney who was M C on the night, to everyone who attended or helped in any way to make it such a success. The amount raised was €2350.

Cleaner Required
A cleaner is required in Edeninfagh N.S. for 5 hours per week- beginning on 30th August 2010. Please send your applications in writing to – The Principal, Edeninfagh N.S., Edeninfagh, Glenties, Co Donegal. Closing date for applications is the 11th August.

Graveyard Mass
Mass will be celebrated in Edeninfagh Graveyard next Sunday 8th August at 3.00 p.m.

Church Gate Collection
Co. Donegal Association of Parents and Friends of People with Intellectual Disability Ltd. will take up their Annual Church Gate Collection before all Masses next weekend.

Naomh Conaill GAA Summer Camp
Naomh Conaill Summer Camp will take place from 16th – 20th August from 10.00 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. The cost is € 45 for 1st child and € 35 for each additional child. Each child will receive a backpack and a football. Forms are available in Mc Glinchey’s (Mace).

Soccer Camp
A Soccer Camp will be held in the Gym behind Scoil Mhuire for 5 to 13 year olds on the 4th 5th and 6th August from 11.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. – 3 days – € 25; also on the 11th 12th and 13th August – 3 days – € 25. To book call Aoife on 087 1245587.
