Christmas Lights
The Christmas Lights will be switched on, in Glenties at 8.00 p.m. on Friday 4th December.
Santa will also be coming to town.
Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Michael Herron, Letterilly, Glenties and Donna Duffy, Glenfin who were married in Glenfin on Saturday last.
New Arrival
Congratulations to Ann Marie and Jonathan Mc Cann, Ballydevitt, Donegal Town on the birth recently, of their second child, a baby brother (Senan, Patrick) for Odhran. Ann Marie is a daughter of Patrick and Mary Kennedy, Main Street, Glenties.
Bingo
Winners at the Tuesday Night Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties were – Libby Mc Gowan won the Jackpot of € 400. Sally Mc Hugh, Ann Whyte, Jean Boyle, Ardara, Kathleen Keeny, Drimarone, Vincent Granaghan, Donegal and Annie Deane, Kilcar won € 100 each. G. O Hara, R. Melly, Leitir, Ann Mc Hugh, Sadie Sweeney, Anne Timoney, Kathleen Boyle, Ann Mc Dyre, Maas, Bridie Boyle, Breege Roarty, Frances Furey, Denise Maguire and Seamus Deane, Kilcar won € 50 each. Anne Byrne, Mary Mc Geehan and Kitty Mc Glynn, Fintown won € 35 each. Fiona Gallagher won € 25. Bingo takes place every Tuesday in the Community Centre, Glenties at 9.00 p.m. Thank you for your support.
Dance
There will be a dance (Sets, Ceili, and Two Hand Dances etc.) in the Community Centre, Glenties on Friday 4th December from 9.30p.m. until 12.30 a.m. Music is by Ceilidh Time.
Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to John Gallagher, Mullantyboyle, Glenties on the death of his aunt, Catherine Cannon, Ard Conal, Ardara, which took place last week in Killybegs Hospital; and to all the relatives and friends.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Peter Sharkey and family, Gortnasillagh on the death of Peter’s mother, which took place recently in England and to all the relatives and friends.
First Aid Course Fetac level 5
A First Aid Course will be held in the Community Centre, Glenties on 7th 8th and 9th December. A few places are still available. Contact 087 9695053 for details.
Night Vigil in Knock
A bus will depart Mc Guinness’ Café at 7.30 p.m. on Monday 7th December for the vigil in Knock for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Contact 9551284 for more information.
