Glenties Community Action Group:
Glenties Community Action Group are delighted to announce that this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday 15th March at 2.30 p.m. The change this year is due to the fact that we have marching bands available on the Saturday which we would not have on St. Patrick’s Day itself. We will be fundraising on the day for the well received Glenties Rainy Day Fund to help those in the parish who may have unforeseen or unfortunate difficulties befall them and we also hope to run a fundraising dance on that same night. We are looking for all local organisations, clubs, businesses, and families, to take part in the parade with floats, fancy dress, music, or just march along, so please contact any member of the action group, or check out our Facebook page, to take part, or leave your ideas, or thoughts, on the parade, the more the merrier, to help make the town’s parade and the Glenties Rainy Day Fund a great success. ”
