Glenties Community Action Group:
“We wish to remind everyone that The Main Street of Glenties will be closed at certain times during the Harvest Fair Festival. These closures are to facilitate a safe and enjoyable festival for everyone, and are seen as essential to the running and organising of the Fair Day itself, and the weekend festivities. The closures will be a follows; Friday 12th September from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 14th September from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles, but all non essential traffic will be diverted at Maas; Kilraine; Hillhead, Ardara; and at Fintown. We thank you for your co-operation in advance, and look forward to a safe and enjoyable festival.”
St. Connell’s Museum & Heritage Centre Society Limited, Glenties:
St. Connell’s Museum Committee would like to thank all their subscribers for their generous donations to their recent Church Gate Collection, which came to € 540.
Glenties After School Glen Road, Glenties:
There will be an Open Day on Wednesday 3rd September, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. for parents wishing to enrol their child / children for the coming term. Glenties Montessori School:

Heritage Week:
As part of the Heritage Week there will be an afternoon of activities in St. Connell’s Museum, Glenties on Saturday 30th August. At two o’clock there will be a talk on the writer John Steven McGroarty, whose mother was from Glenties. This will be followed by an explanation, and demonstration, of home baking. While waiting on the baked products there will be music, spinning and twisting of yarns and ropes, and then the tay

Bingo is held in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday Night at 9 p.m.
