Glenties Notes 21st February 2013

Sympathy:
Sincere sympathy is extended to Cissie Meehan, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent, Glenties on the death recently of her sister Nellie Meehan, Thower; also to her nieces, Breid Mc Loone and Maria Mc Dermott, Altar, Glenties and all the other relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Mary B. Connaghan, formerly of Mill Road, Glenties who died in England on Thursday 7th February 2013. Her Remains were brought to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday 16th and burial took place after 12 noon Mass on Sunday 17th February.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Aidan Boyce, Mill Road, Glenties who died on Thursday 14th February and was buried on Saturday last.

New Arrival:
Congratulations to James and Eilish Mc Dermott, Lucan, Dublin, on the birth of their second child, a baby brother (John) for Donal. James is a son of Danny and Mary Mc Dermott, Meenagrubby, Glenties.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo in the Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday evening at 9pm. Every line €50, every house €100. Inhouse draws. Jackpot if not won will be €5300 on 45 numbers or less on Tuesday 26th February. If not won on the night €300 will be paid out. Snooker room will be open from 4pm – 10pm every evening except Tuesday night. It will close at 8pm on Tuesday night. On Saturday and Sunday snooker room will be open from 12 noon to 10pm.

Foroige 5K Run / Walk:
There will be a 5 K Run / walk on the Sunday 24th February in aid of the Foroige Club. Everyone is welcome to come along and support us. The entry fee is € 3 for U / 16s and € 5 for adults.
