The Late Hugh Boyle:
The death took place recently in Killybegs Hospital of Hugh Boyle, Caosan, Kilraine, Glenties. Hugh is survived by one brother, Michael and one sister, Philomena Coughlan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathy is extended. His brother Patrick and two sisters, Bridget Boyle and Sarah O’ Neill predeceased him.
The Late Frank Connaghan:
The death took place in Letterkenny Hospital on Sunday 7th September 2014 of Frank Connaghan, Main Street (formerly Mill Road), Glenties. Frank is survived by his wife, Anne, son Manus, daughters, Tara and Francine sisters, Anne and Madge, other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathy is extended. His daughter, Nadine predeceased him in 1988.
Golden Wedding:
Congratulations to Jimmy and Bernadette Mc Kelvey, Beaghmore, Fintown, who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last weekend.
Silver Wedding:
Congratulations to Laurence and Michelle Molloy, Narin Road, Glenties, who celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary recently. Best wishes to both couples for many more happy years together.
Wedding Bells:
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Aimee Mc Devitt, daughter of Jim and Sandy Mc Devitt, Glen Road, Glenties and Adam Kemp, Donegal Town, who were married in Rathmullan House on Friday 19th September 2014.
Aerobics and Kettlebell Classes:
Aerobics and Kettlebell classes will commence in the Highlands Hotel on Thursday 9th October from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. This is a five week course or pay as you go. Please contact Martina 086 3846302 to confirm your place.
Occupational First Aid Refresher Course:
St Riaghan’s NS, Drimnacrosh are running an Occupational First Aid refresher course in the school on Wednesday 8th & Wednesday 15th October- (7 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening). A limited number of places are still available. If you have completed this course within the past two years and wish to renew your certificate, please contact the school on 9551591 or 086 1798692 to secure a place. The cost per person is €40 which includes exam and certificate.

An Grianan Theatre presents ‘Frank Pig Says Hello’ a Play by Pat Mc Cabe in Glenties Community Centre on Friday 3rd October 2014, Show starts at 8.30pm.
Understanding Dyslexia:
Donegal Local Development Company invites you to an Information Event; Understanding Dyslexia, a one hour session will be held ; Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday October 7th -3.30pm . Topics covered will include- understanding dyslexia, indicators of dyslexia, what an assessment involves and how to get an assessment
Collection:
The Annual Labour Party Collection will be taken up at Church Gates in Glenties and Edeninfagh on weekend 4th and 5th October.
Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo held in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday Night at 9pm.
Snooker:
Snooker room is open Monday to Friday from 4pm to 10pm. Saturday, Sunday 10am to 10pm
Tai Chi:
Tai Chi every Wednesday night 8pm -9.30pm.
