Mc Ginty / Mc Loone Wedding
The marriage of Catherine Mc Loone and Seamus Mc Ginty took place in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday 6th June 2009. Fr. Paul Gallagher officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mass. Catherine is a daughter of Leo and Annette Mc Loone, Glenties and Seamus is a son of Hughie and Mary Mc Ginty, Glenfin. Her father gave the bride away and her sister, Veronica Laughlin and friend, Christina Boyd attended her. Amelia Laughlin, niece of the bride was a junior bridesmaid. Hughie Mc Ginty, brother of the groom was bestman and another brother, Peadar was groomsman. The groom’s nephew, Dylan Mc Ginty was a junior groomsman. Caoimhe Brennan, niece of the bride was flowergirl and Jason Mc Ginty, nephew of the groom was pageboy. Readings were by friends of the couple, Fiona Mc Connell and Anthony Morrow. Oisin Brennan, Deirdre and Kathleen Mc Ginty, Lorraine Diver and Kevina Mc Kelvey read Prayers of the Faithful. The mothers of the bride and groom, Annette Mc Loone and Mary Mc Ginty brought the Gifts to the Altar. A Reflection was read by Leo Mc Loone, brother of the bride. Music and singing was by Jenifer and Sara Laughlin and Michael Maloney. The reception was held in the Blue Haven and the honeymoon was spent in South Africa.

Graveyard Sunday
Mass will be celebrated in the New Graveyard, Glenties on Sunday 19th July at 3.00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated in Edeninfagh Graveyard on Sunday 9th August at 3.00 p.m.

Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Bridget Mc Glynn, Lougherrig, Fintown who died last week and was buried in Fintown on Saturday 13th June 2009.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Nan Gallagher, Glen Road, Glenties on the death of her nephew, Donal Craig, Ardara, which took place last week; also to all the relatives and friends.

Collection
The Church Gate Collection taken up recently for The Irish Cancer Society amounted to €1,039.00. A sincere ‘Thank You’ to everyone who made a contribution.

Downstrands Family Resource Centre
Summer Camps will be held at the Dolmen Centre for 1st – 3rd classes Tuesday 7th – Friday 10th July and for 4th – 6th classes Tuesday 21st – Friday 24th July. Activities will include games, arts & crafts, scavenger hunt, canoeing, trip away and lots of fun. The cost per child is €30, second child €20 and maximum for a family will be €60. Aware Depression Support Group
This group meets in the Mill Park Hotel, Donegal Town on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7.30 p.m. The next meeting will take place on 22nd June. Come along or ring the Aware Regional Office at 9735030 for a free information pack or for further details.

Evening of Spiritual Music
A very special evening of spiritual music with Kathy O’ Hara will be held in the Dolmen Centre, Kilclooney on Wednesday 24th June at 8.30 p.m. Tickets €10 can be bought at the door.

Adult Education & Training Centre
The Centre (Old Tech.) Donegal Town is currently enrolling for Computer and Business Courses, which will be starting in September. All courses and coursework are FREE. If you are in receipt of a social welfare payment and are over 21 years of age please call 9721705 for further details and an application form. Closing date for receipt of application is 19th June. The Centre is also currently enrolling for part time FETAC Childcare Night Class Programme. Full programme details are available from Angela on 9721705.
