St. Patrick’s Day Parade:
Glenties Community Action Group invite all organisations, families and persons of Glenties and surrounding areas to take part in the Glenties St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is taking place on Saturday 15th March. The parade and day in general are being held to promote and raise monies for newly renamed Glenties Community Response Fund (formerly rainy day fund), and we hope to have a big turnout on the day. We already have commitments of floats and bands to take part, but we are not resting on our laurels and want as big a parade as possible to march up and down the street of Glenties. We encourage as many as possible to take part in this important event.
Fundraising Dance:
We are also holding a dance on Saturday night 15th March in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties for this newly named Glenties Community Response Fund. This is a fund to help anyone in the area, who finds themselves in dire straits as a result of a death or accident or any other crisis. Admission will be € 10 on the night and music will be by The Playboys. All monies raised on the night will be directed to the Fund. We ask you all for your support for this very worthy cause.”
