Bingo
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 2nd August were – Teresa Mc Kelvey won the Jackpot of € 400. Patsy Martin, Susan Gildea, Anne Mc Ginley, Gerry Doherty, Anne Furey, Brigid Mc Cabe, Sally Mc Hugh and Mary Furey won € 100 each. Mary Kennedy won € 60. Anne Mc Ginley, Anna Lafferty, Anne Furey, Denise Campbell, Teresa Mc Kelvey, Isobel Mc Loone, Margaret Melly, Letty Doherty, Marie Boyle, Paula Hegarty, Claire Keeney and Margaret Mc Brearty won € 50 each. Anne Kennedy, Mary Kennedy, Anne Furey, Ann Breslin, Paula Hegarty and Mickey Doherty won € 25 each.
Glenties Community Centre
Bingo every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. in the Glenties Community Centre. Every Line is € 50, Every House is € 100 and the Jackpot is € 400. Snooker tables are available for play in the Community Centre every day.
Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Thomas J. Mc Dyre, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent and formerly of Derries, Glenties, who died in Letterkenny Hospital on Thursday 4th August.

Walk for Donegal Hospice
Joe and Anne Craig would like to thank everyone who took part or assisted in any way with the Sponsored Walk in aid of the Donegal Hospice. The amount raised was € 1,600.
Trocaire Appeal for the People of East Africa
The collection which was taken up recently amounted to a Total of € 4,015. The amount collected in Glenties was € 3,603 and the amount collected in Edeninfagh was € 412. Thank you sincerely for your overwhelming generosity.
Table Quiz
A Table Quiz in aid of N.C.B.I. (National Council for the Blind of Ireland) will be held in the Glen Tavern tomorrow night Friday 12th August at 9 p.m. € 20 per Table of Four. Everyone is welcome, so come along, enjoy the night, and support a good cause.
Mad Hatters Tea Party
Fintown Harps A.F.C. will hold a Mad Hatters Tea Party for the Under – Age Soccer Teams in the Highlands Hotel on Friday 12th August at 8.30 p.m. All parents are asked to support this event. Music is by David Craig and the Cufflinks. Little Sister of the Poor
The Little Sisters of the Poor have been given permission by Bishop Philip Boyce to collect in the Diocese of Raphoe. They will be in the Glenties area from 15th August until 20th August. Their aim is to raise funds for the upkeep of their Homes for the Elderly.
Collection
Co. Donegal Parents and Friends of People with Intellectual Disabilities Ltd. will take up their Annual Church Gate Collection before all the Masses next weekend.
