ARDCONNELL 60 4th – 6th June 2010

Plans are now at an advanced stage for the Ardconnell 60 celebrations, scheduled to take place on the June Bank Holiday weekend, 4th – 6th June. Events will commence with Mass on Friday evening at 8.30pm, after which light refreshments will be made available and entertainment will be provided by Sean Mc Monagle.

Saturday afternoon will be a family fun day with many activities being planned. The highlight of the weekend is the Dinner Dance on Saturday night in the Highlands Hotel, with dinner served at 8.00pm followed by dancing to Sean Mc Monagle. Tickets are now available from Annette Mc Gettigan (087 6451620) or they may be booked through any Committee member. Please book early as numbers are strictly limited. Admission may be available to the dance only.

Entertainment suitable for all the family will again be provided on the Sunday afternoon, finishing with the Bluescasters from 5 – 7pm.

Weather (and midges) permitting, activities will be held in Ardconnell but alternative facilities are available in the National School Gym, if necessary.

A photographic exhibition will be on display in the Gym from 1 – 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday and bouncy castles will be erected in Ardconnell for the young (and the young at heart).

All are welcome to join us in these celebrations and we look forward to meeting “old” friends and reliving some of the many happy memories of times past in Ardconnell.
